3G???

3G

Hhhhmmmm......we all always use the words 3G in our daily life...but guys did you knoe what is exaclt 3G's is all about...Here i'll tell you a little bit about "3G networks"

  • It is also known as 3rd Generation of mobile telecommunication technology.

  • It is a set of standards used for mobile device and mobile telecommunication services and networks that comply with the International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000).

  • 3G is applicable in voice telephony, mobile internet access, fixed wireless internet access, video call and mobile tv.

  • Launched earlier in Japan and South Korea, more than 50% of mobile phone subscribers in the two countries that use 3G. However, of the 3 billion mobile phone subscriptions worldwide, only 6.7% are using 3G.
  • 3G exploit .6 MHz channel carrier width to deliver data rates and much higher capacity compared with 2G networks. It also allows the transmission of 384 kbit / s for mobile systems and 2 Mb / s for stationary systems. 3G users can enjoy greater capacity and better spectrum efficiency that allows them to achieve international roaming between various different 3G networks.
Okay now i will tel you the standards of 3G networks which is divided into 3:

UMTS (W-CDMA)
  • UMTS (Universal Mobile Telephone System) or Universal Mobile Telephone System is derived from the W-CDMA technology and was the answer to a more use GSM. The system is based in Europe. 3GPP UMTS managed by, the organization also manages the GSM, GPRS, and EDGE.
CDMA2000
  • CDMA2000 is an extension of 2G IS-95 CDMA standard. CDMA2000 GSM function outside the zone in the United States, Japan and Korea. Managed by the 3GPP2 CDMA2000, a separate company with 3GPP.
TD-SCDMA
  • TD-SCDMA is the latest 3G standard developed in collaboration with the company Siemens China, Datung. The two companies will launch this system in 2005.
But please notice that 3C also have their disadvantages instead of these advantages....what it is? okay now we'll see it...

  • Expensive input fees for the 3G service;
  • Many differences between the licensing conditions;
  • A lot of debt, which is currently borne by telecommunications companies and, thus, make it difficult to build the infrastructure needed by 3G;
  • Lack of support from member states to the operator experiencing financial difficulties;
  • 3G phone expenses are high;
  • Lack of transfer of mobile phone users from 2G to 3G services;
  • Still lack coverage because 3G is a new service;
  • Lack of need to use 3G data and voice services for handheld devices;
  • Ingestion of high electric power.
Wow!! a lot of its.... okay now we all know that 3G have their pro and cons... that's all i can share with all of you...
continue reading and happy reading.... here i also have the pictures of what we call that as "3G"...
happy happy..... :-)
